Archive Manager is a one of a kind file server archiving solution for content stored in network file shares, there really is nothing else like it. How is this possible? Simple.. No database is ever used to store files in (or even pointers to files). The only database that is used is the tiny configuration and job scheduling one which will run happily on the completely free SQL Express 2008 R2 or later.

All of the information regarding where a file has been archived from and too is maintained in the file system itself through the clever use of directory structures and file properties.
